Door and window manufacturers can see how they measure up against the competition by participating in a Building Industry Advisors, LLC, survey about how they did during the 2013 calendar year.
The investment banking firm set a May 15 deadline for the return of completed questionnaires, which will be compiled for the Door & Window Industry Benchmark Survey.
All responses will be kept confidential. The survey will focus on data that can be used to make the best decisions in the current market environment. It will contain a financial analysis and information about lead time, worker productivity, marketing practices and areas of concern that will require action.
The results of the survey will be available by the end of June. The companies that participate will receive a discount on purchasing the results.
Also, survey takers that submit complete financial statements will get a summary valuation of their company as of year-end 2013.
“With the market in recovery, this is an excellent time for companies to compare their financial performance with that of their competitors,” Michael E. Collins, managing director of the Chicago-based Building Industry Advisors, said in an email.
