TenCate Advanced Composites has formed a partnership with Performance Polymer Solutions. The two companies already produce materials used in the F-35 fighter jet.
Netherlands-headquartered TenCate Advanced Composites has partnered with high-performance resin supplier Performance Polymer Solutions Inc. to develop and market prepreg materials to the aerospace industry, TenCate announced April 11.
Located in Moraine, Ohio, Performance Polymer specializes in high-temperature structural materials. TenCate currently uses Performance Polymer’s resin systems to make prepreg materials for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program, according to a company release.
"This is a natural partnership which allows TenCate to expand our offering of high temperature composite solutions for the aerospace, space and satellite markets, and builds upon our collaborative, multi-year relationship with [Performance Polymer],” Joe Morris, president of TenCate Advanced Composites in the USA, said in a statement.
The materials will be produced at TenCate’s Morgan Hill, Calif., facility, the release indicates.
Performance Polymer Solutions Inc. is owned by PROOF Research, a Columbia Falls, Montana-based maker of carbon fiber firearm barrels and other components. |
