No one ever asks your opinion about anything, right? Nielsen doesn't care what TV shows you watch. Gallup never asks who you plan to vote for. At home, even your dog walks away when you try to have a conversation.
Well, we care.
More accurately, Nexant Inc. and the Society of Plastics Engineers care. (I care too, but we'll get to that in a minute).
Both Nexant and SPE are polling plastics industry folks about some key issues that everyone has been talking about. So chances are pretty good that you have an opinion.
And they want it.
is about the impact that reshoring is having on the plastics industry. It asks questions about how much reshoring is happening, what factors are driving the trend, and what challenges North American companies face as a result of the increased work.
is about sustainability and the plastics industry. The group is focused on understanding the importance of sustainability on the corporate (or institutional) agenda. SPE also plans to compare the responses to a survey that it completed in 2012, to see how the issue has changed.
SPE gave the preliminary results of the sustainability survey at Antec 2014 in Las Vegas, but they're still hoping to get more feedback. SPE members will have full access to the results, when it's completed.
Someone is finally interested in your opinion. Take advantage! Maybe it will start an trend. Maybe you'll get to decide what to have for dinner tomorrow night, or what color to paint those front shutters.
