Posted June 21, 2012 AURORA, ILL. (June 21, 2:30 p.m. ET) -- Processing Technologies International LLC has made its first sale to Turkey: A sheet extrusion line to Aserpet, a Turkish PET recycler that is will begin making PET sheet roll stock.
PTI announced the sale June 19.
Aserpet, based in Gaziantep, Turkey, purchased its first sheet extrusion line to help support its entrance into the packaging sector.
The Aurora-based PTI’s strategy is to expand globally. “This is a significant business deal that firmly positions us in yet another key global region,” said Patrick Johnsen, eastern regional sales manager.
Oztas Kaleoglu, Aserpet’s general manager, said the company picked PTI because of its quality machines that make sheet with tight tolerances, and customer support.
PTI sold the machine through its agent in Istanbul, Kerem Anil, of Plast-Teknik.
The equipment maker is seeking other business opportunities in Turnkey, targeting PET, polypropylene, polystyrene and barrier sheet extrusion systems for packaging. |
